Method

Divide each whole-number outcome count by total games. When total games are zero, return no percentage values.

win share = W/(W+L+T) × 100

loss share = L/(W+L+T) × 100

tie share = T/(W+L+T) × 100

Read the total games and each outcome’s percentage of that total. Win percentage is a statistical measure used in sports to evaluate team or individual performance. It represents the proportion of games won out of the total games played, expressed as a percentage.

The formula is simple: Win Percentage = (Wins / Total Games) × 100. When ties are involved, each statistic (wins, losses, ties) is calculated as a separate percentage of total games.

Understanding the Percentages

Unrounded shares sum to 100% when at least one game exists; independently rounded displays may total 99.99% or 100.01%. With zero games, no percentages are calculated.

Worked example

With 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie, total games are 10: wins are 60%, losses 30%, and ties 10%. These are outcome shares, not league points.

Interpreting rounded shares

Each outcome count is divided by the total games and rounded separately to two decimal places. The displayed percentages can therefore sum to 99.99% or 100.01%; the unrounded shares sum to 100% when games exist.

Another record example

With 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 tie, each outcome is one-third of three games. The calculator displays 33.33% for each; these rounded displays sum to 99.99%.
